10,000 ‘Good’ Reps Towards Mastery
Want to get good at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? You have to drill, drill, drill. Drill the technique, transition, and the series. You have to do physical repetitions and mental repetitions to the point it becomes MUSCLE MEMORY. When a movement is repeated over time, a long-term muscle memory is created for that task, eventually allowing it to be performed without conscious effort. This process decreases the need for attention and creates maximum efficiency within the motor and memory systems.
I designed a worksheet to help keep track of that progress. If you believe it will improve your Jiu Jitsu game too just click the download button below to download the free PDF form.
You can set a timer for 20-60 mins to get as many GOOD 20 rep sets in that time frame. In between classes you can grab a partner to get a quick 20 rep set in. Once you knock out your first 1000 reps email me at email@example.com and tell me if you experienced an exponential improvement.
Also check out the new format for the Drill Tracker Sheet to include reference photos of the technique you are drilling. The one below is also available to you for free. Check it out and starting drilling! Thanks Viviana Velez for demoing the technique.
